Business licence & registration verification
We check the chosen supplier's business licence against the Chinese government registry and confirm the company is legally registered, active, and that the registration number is valid. You receive the verified registration details and a clear statement of legal standing. The entity you are paying is the entity on the licence — confirmed, not assumed.
Manufacturer vs. trading company check
We read the scope of business on the licence and compare it with what the supplier claims to make, asking follow-up questions in Chinese where the picture is unclear. You receive a plain-English determination of whether this is a factory that makes the goods or an intermediary reselling them, and what that means for your price, leverage and risk.
Credit & blacklist screening
We review the company's public credit record — annual reports, tax status, ongoing court cases, and government or industry blacklists — and report what we find, in writing, including how recent it is. This is background context, not a reliability judgement; the point is to surface problems before you commit, not after.
Certification verification with issuer
If the supplier presents ISO 9001, BSCI or other certificates, we identify the issuing body and confirm with it — or its public registry — that the certificate is genuine, current, and issued to this company for a relevant scope. You receive a per-certificate result. We do not certify anything ourselves; we check whether the supplier's claims hold up.
Supplier sourcing & shortlisting
We start from your requirements and budget and search for suppliers through Chinese channels — not only Alibaba. We pre-screen candidates against registration, scope and capacity, and present you a shortlist of factories that actually fit your product, with a side-by-side comparison. This widens the field beyond what a foreign buyer can reach alone, and filters out unsuitable candidates before you spend time on them.
On-site factory visit with photo & video documentation
A qualified inspector travels to the factory and walks the production floor under our supervision, confirming the facility matches what was presented to you and looking at the lines relevant to your order. The visit is documented with dated photos and video. You receive our reviewed visit report showing where your goods are actually made — the most effective way to catch a supplier who presents one factory online and produces elsewhere.
EU compliance document compilation
We identify which EU regulations and standards apply to your product, then collect the supplier's test reports and technical documents and check whether they cover your exact model. Where documents are missing or mismatched, we request the right ones from the supplier in Chinese and compile what we gather into an organised file. Note: the legal responsibility for compliance stays with you, the importer. We structure and support the process; we do not sign off on conformity and we do not provide legal services.
Pre-production inspection (charged separately — €320/inspector day)
Before mass production starts, a qualified inspector checks the raw materials, components and first-off samples against your specification, under our supervision. Material substitutions or quality issues are flagged while they are still cheap to fix. You receive our reviewed pre-production report. Catching a problem here can save an entire batch; catching the same problem at final inspection often cannot.
During-production inspection (charged separately — €320/inspector day)
Mid-way through production, a qualified inspector returns to check that the first run matches the approved samples and that quality is holding as volume scales, under our supervision. We review the findings on yield, defects and any process drift before they reach you. This catches problems that only appear at scale and lets the supplier correct course before the order is finished.
1 final random inspection (AQL) in Guangdong — included
When the order is finished and packed, a qualified inspector examines a statistically valid sample using AQL sampling under our supervision — checking workmanship, specifications, quantity, packaging and labelling against your order and the agreed criteria. You receive our reviewed pass/fail report with photos of any defects, typically within 1–2 working days after the inspection. This is your last structured chance to catch problems while the goods are still in China.
Loading supervision
The loading of the checked goods into the container is supervised by a qualified inspector under our supervision — confirming the right goods, in the right quantity, go into the right container, and that seals are applied. You receive our reviewed loading report with container and seal numbers, guarding against substitution between a passed inspection and the container leaving.
Negotiation support in Chinese
We support your price and terms discussions with the supplier in their language, on your side of the table. We help you read between the lines of what is said, push back where appropriate, and reach terms that are workable and clearly understood on both sides. We do not commit you to anything; you make the decisions.
Contract & payment-term advisory
We review the proposed contract and payment terms and explain, in plain English, what they mean and where the risk sits — large deposits, unfavourable Incoterms, one-sided clauses — and suggest more balanced alternatives. This is advisory support, not legal services; for formal legal review, consult a qualified lawyer.
Dedicated point of contact throughout
You have one person at H&E who knows your order from start to finish, who briefs the supplier with you and who you can reach directly. Continuity matters: the person who sourced the supplier also supervises every inspection and reviews each report, so nothing gets lost in handovers.
Detailed risk-assessment report
A consolidated report covering sourcing, verification, every inspection, compliance status and loading — with evidence and a clear record of what was checked and what remains open. It is built so you can defend your decisions to your bank, your insurer or your own management, with findings in English rather than raw Chinese paperwork.

What this does not cover
Even the fullest package has a line we do not cross — so you know exactly where responsibility sits.
- Freight forwarding, customs brokerage or import declaration — we supervise; we do not move or clear goods.
- Laboratory testing — we coordinate testing with accredited labs on your behalf, but the lab relationship and test ownership are yours.
- Legal services or contract drafting by a lawyer — we advise on terms; for binding legal review, consult qualified counsel.
- A guarantee of supplier performance or product compliance. We verify and report; we do not assume responsibility for the supplier's conduct, the product's conformity, or your customs outcome.
