Basic — Supplier Check
A single, focused verification of one Chinese supplier — before you commit or wire money.
*Turnaround times are estimates. Where the work depends on documents or scheduling from the supplier, timelines may extend depending on how quickly the supplier responds.
What we actually do
Every check below is carried out in Chinese government and issuer databases, then explained to you in plain English — with the evidence attached, not raw paperwork.
Business licence & registration verification
We take the supplier's business licence and check it against the Chinese government's company registry. We confirm the company is legally registered, that the registration number is valid, and that the company is active — not dissolved, suspended, or deregistered. You receive the verified registration details and a clear statement of the company's legal standing. This matters because a supplier that does not exist as a registered entity cannot be held accountable, and a forged licence is one of the most common red flags in cross-border trade.
Manufacturer vs. trading company check
We read the scope of business on the licence and cross-check it against what the supplier claims to make. A registered manufacturer lists production in its scope; a trading company lists "sales of" the goods instead. Where the picture is unclear, we ask follow-up questions in Chinese. You receive a plain-English determination: is this a factory that makes the goods, or an intermediary reselling them — and what that means for your price, your leverage, and your risk.
Credit & blacklist screening
We look at the company's public credit record: annual reports, tax status, ongoing court cases, and whether the company or its legal representative appears on a government or industry blacklist. We report what we find, in writing, including how recent the information is. This is background, not a judgement of reliability — but a supplier with multiple active lawsuits or a tax-abnormal flag is a supplier you want to know about before you pay.
Certification verification with issuer
If the supplier presents ISO 9001, BSCI or other certificates, we do not take the PDF at face value. We identify the issuing body and contact it — or check its public registry — to confirm the certificate is genuine, current, and actually issued to this company for this scope. We also check whether the certificate's scope is relevant to your product. You receive a per-certificate result: verified, expired, irrelevant, or unverifiable. We do not certify anything ourselves; we check whether the supplier's claims hold up.
Written summary report
You receive a concise, structured report in English summarising everything above: the company's verified registration status, manufacturer vs. trading determination, credit findings, and certification results. Each finding is supported by the evidence we collected, not by raw Chinese paperwork you have to interpret yourself. The report is written so you can make a go / no-go decision — not so it makes the supplier look good.
What this does not cover
We would rather state this plainly than oversell a single check.
- On-site factory visits — available in the Order Control and Full Supervision packages.
- Physical inspection of goods or production lines.
- EU compliance document compilation or the Declaration of Conformity.
- Sourcing new suppliers or negotiating prices.
- Loading supervision or shipment checks.
- Legal advice or representation. We verify and report; we do not provide legal services and do not assume responsibility for the supplier's conduct or your import compliance.
